FRIENDING POLICY: I'm friends only now because my f-list was getting too big and it's been hard to keep up lately. Plus, the nature of my job now is making me a little paranoid. Still, if you friend me, more than likely I'll friend you back as long as your LJ hasn't been up for a while but there's only a couple of posts. And make sure we have a few things in common otherwise it's going to be kinda boring for the both of us. If I do defriend you, it's nothing personal. It usually happens if we don't talk or we no longer have anything in common. I won't be upset if you defriend me. Que sera and all that.

In case that's not all clear:

You should probably know that I’m 30. If you’ve been perusing my LJ, I know you are shocked and amazed right now. I don’t look it and I don’t act like it unless I have to like if I’m at work [currently in the US Army] or it’s some other serious occasions. I fully embrace my inner child or teenager when the occasion calls for it.

Which means I fangirl hard like I used to do back when 90210 first came out. [My first fangirl experience back when I didn’t even know what I fangirl was.] My current fandoms [varying degrees of engagement] are Prison Break, Heroes, Friday Night Lights, Supernatural, Burn Notice, The Departed, Four Brothers, CSI, The Office, Scrubs, Reaper, Ironman, Slumdog Millionaire, The Watchmen and Tropic Thunder. [My first fandom was Smallville. Got out just in time.]

I love my husband. A lot. I really mean a lot so there will be talk of the lovey dovey kind on occasion. I believe in true love and first love and all that jazz.

I love my dogs, too. They’re our furry children. They are a Pit Bull and a Pit Bull Mix so if you don’t like those kinds of dogs, this is definitely not the place for you. I’m a Lover of American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and American Pit Bull Terriers. BSL is exactly that: BS.

Which leads me to other things I don’t like: LIARS. So you can expect full disclosure from me. THIEVES. Don’t pass of work that isn’t your own. Just. Don’t. Do. It. IGNORANCE. If you don’t know, fine. Don’t pretend otherwise. STUPIDITY. Speaks for itself. BAD TV unless it’s so bad it’s good. DISCRIMINATION. Don’t badmouth my profession or my dogs; people of a different sexual orientation, religion, color, ethnicity, and the like. That pisses me off to no end. PEOPLE THAT ARE MEAN TO MY FRIENDS. Nothing nice to say? Keep. It. Moving. TAKING YOURSELF OR LIFE TOO SERIOUSLY. I have fun here [most of the time]. I hope you do, too.

What else should you know? I’m a Sorority girl. I’m a Liberal. And I will cut you if you say it’s a dirty word. (Kidding. Maybe not.) Philly born, Jersey bred. Black and proud. [Shocking, right? I’ve been called the ‘Whitest black girl.’ Trufax.] Traveler. Cook. [Sweet tea is my crack!] I curse. [A bad habit that I have yet to shake. Though sometimes all you can say is ‘Fuck!’]

Besides my husband and my dogs, I love tattoos. I have two. I want more. I love watching TV. Current faves are Friday Night Lights, Pushing Daisies *sniffles*, My Own Worst Enemy *sniffles*, Burn Notice, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles *sniffles*, Reaper, The Office, My Name is Earl *sniffles*, Chocolate News, Sons of Anarchy, Lincoln Heights and Supernatural. [I gave up on Heroes but I still read the fic sometimes. I still watch Prison Break and hate myself the entire time. *le sigh*]

I love to read. Some of my favorite authors are Zane, Lisa Scottoline, Meera Syal, Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Terry McMillian, Shakespeare, and Danyel Smith.

I can't live without music. I like something from pretty much every genre.
